LIMELIGHT RECORDS LOGO REDESIGN & REBRAND

Limelight Records, Elon University’s record label dedicated to showcasing emerging student musicians, sought to refresh its brand identity following a hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic. The previous logo was overly complex, lacked vector format, and did not offer the flexibility needed for digital and print applications. The team needed a modern, adaptable visual identity that could clearly convey the label’s mission while supporting its presence across multiple platforms.

I developed an updated logo and a comprehensive visual identity system, including complementary designs for social media, promotional materials, and digital campaigns. The redesigned branding features simplified, versatile logo and icon variations, a modern typography set, and a cohesive color palette that strengthens brand recognition. Elements inspired by lime triangles were incorporated into the design to maintain a unique visual identity while ensuring flexibility for use across various media formats.

This project allowed Limelight Records to present a consistent, professional brand that resonates with students and emerging artists alike. The updated visual identity not only modernized the label’s look and feel but also created a system that can scale across print, digital, and social platforms, supporting the label’s continued growth and visibility on campus. Through this work, I combined design strategy, branding principles, and creative problem-solving to deliver a solution that reflects both the label’s mission and its community of student musicians.
