VITAL SIGNS MAKE-A-WISH BENEFIT CONCERT

PROBLEM
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Vital Signs A Cappella faced the challenge of adapting their annual Make-A-Wish concert to a virtual format. To continue their fundraising tradition for this esteemed organization, they needed to promote the event, produce two music videos for the concert, and coordinate video submissions from other participating groups for a cohesive YouTube Live presentation. With just over a month to organize everything, Vital Signs aimed to deliver an engaging and high-quality virtual concert experience.
SOLUTION
I developed a comprehensive social media campaign featuring shareable and interactive content, including bingo games, giveaways, and eye-catching graphics and flyers. These posts provided essential information about the event schedule, access via YouTube Live, and donation instructions. Additionally, I distributed flyers and postcards around Elon University and key local venues to maximize reach. The final step involved editing and integrating the Vital Signs music videos, transitional elements, and contributions from other a cappella groups and guest performers into a unified live broadcast on YouTube.
In the end, Vital Signs A Cappella raised over $10,000 for the children of Make-A-Wish, setting a new record and surpassing the fundraising achievements of previous in-person events.
